Leather Workshop Launch
Proceeds of "Anadwo Yede" Karaoke Night will be going to Demonstration School for the Deaf located in Mampong Akuapem in the Eastern Region of Ghana. It is a school for hearing impaired children and currently has 441 hearing impaired children of 5 departments made up of K, Primary, Junior High School Deaf, Blind and Vocational.
The proceeds will provide the leatherwork unit of the vocational training department equipments to enhance the training of their students in order to help them access enough training equipment to
facilitate their skills acquisition that would enable them to produce footwear, bags, and other leather materials at most in three (3) years.
This would minimise the rate of begging and idleness by persons with hearing impairment after completing school, thereby achieving the goal set for the vocational programme, which is to make the students acquire skills in leatherwork that would make them employable or self-employed.
